What about using a home boarding service? I have worked in boarding kennels and my dogs would be traumatised if I ever put them in there. A big problem I found is that a lot of 'dog' people aren't fond of small dogs so it makes it harder to find someone that u know will treat them as u would

Not that I could recommend lol I've never had to board my lot thankfully so have never looked I have a friend who is a qualified trainer she does home boarding for all breeds (I think) shes in leamington

Yeh some stay in your home some your dogs stays with them (and possibly other dogs too) I think they have to be crb checked & have references n insurance n that although a lot of people try to do it without obvs u want to avoid those type. Some trainers do it to

Where abouts in Gloucestershire are you? Whick kennels did you go and look at? I used to work at a kennels so I can highly recommend it to you. If I had my own place i'd offer to chihuahua-sit for you but I live at home with my parents and sadly they wouldn't allow it. If you want to know more about tho work at kennels i used to work at then please feel free to pm me. I can also recommend a few other places to depending on your location x
