Ok, so I have heard the term many times: Puppy Uglies. Can someone please explain? Is it an age? a growth stage? is it about their coats? thanks everyone!

Its kind of everything you just listed When they have kinda longer limbs, when their coat is very short and blown, and they just all around seem gangly. Some puppies have it way worse than others... usually 5-9 months or so is the typical age it happens during.

Yep, it's especially more so with LC's when they loose their puppy coat & before they get their adult coat. Some look more "ugly" than others...but they're all still way cute! Mari had it particularly bad IMO. Here she was in the midst of her "uglies". Lulu is in the midst...but she doesn't look half bad I don't think.
