My gorgeous Lily had to have 8 retained puppy teeth taken out today. She's sitting on the couch like a queen after her hard day! I was so worried putting her in to have them removed and had put it off for months! Her breeder - Anne holland lost her Champion when he went to have his teeth removed so I'm sooo relieved that it's over and she's ok!

im very surprised you had that done, specially with what happened to 'little boy blue' panda has 3 baby teeth but im just leaving them. her mouth is a little messy but i would rather be put down a place at a show then put her under. glad little lily is doing well after her eventful day tho x

Aww poor Lily! I hope she's feeling better soon. I bet you're relieved it's over after that--ugh!!
Mari & Matilda both had to be put under to have baby teeth removed. Matilda had 2 out & ended up with an infection afterwards. Mari had quite a few to have removed though if it happened now I'd just have pulled a lot of them myself because they were quite loose. LOL She wasn't too bothered by it honestly which was weird since she had more out than Matilda & Matilda ended up with the problem. LOL Lulu will have to go in to have some teeth removed before too long too. Baby teeth suck!!

i agree baby teeth are a worry when they stay put ,.... my jeanie had 2 removed (retained her canines) and then days after she got mellitus -infection from it and is now on a cocktail drugs all from having her teeth out ! ...

I waited months hoping they'd come out on their own because I really didn't want to put her in but she looked like a little shark! I'm so glad it's over with and she's fine, it was a big risk!

So glad she is ok. One of mine is in today to have her retained canines taken out. I have taken her to a specialist dental vet and he is xraying the jaw first as she only has four incisors instead of the six at the bottom. He explained that the missing ones are often present underneath and that is what they xray for. Did'nt know that! Just phoned them to check she is ok, so going to collect her shortly. Its such a huge worry I cant bare it.

Got her back thank god. No extra hidden second teeth. Not much more cost wise than what I'd been quoted by my regular vet and that was without an xray so all in all ok just a few more grey hairs for me!
