I bet she fellt refreshed meeting you and Lani too, after all the crap chis she must see coming in!
I went to a ringcraft class in Cheshire the other night - the old lady who ran it said that a Chi lady called Marrie goes sometimes and that she did well at crufts a few years ago. I am racking my brains trying to figure out who it is. If her chis are nice I need to make friends with her pronto and convince her to sell me a nice pup! ---ring any bells???

OMG that's so funny & cool!! I'm a bit jealous!! Haha I did have one guys tell me Matilda was big for a Chi when she was 6mo & I was a bit impressed. But now with Mari AND Lulu I've had people say how big they are??? Really!? Lulu isn't even 4lbs yet. LOL. Soooo that's when I get irritated that these people are so used to the whole itty bitty Paris Hilton accessory. Ugh...
Anyway I'd definitely go back & have her help go over the pups! So great....

Gah Heather! People think Mari and Lulu are big? What in the world? They are tiny! Do you have a puppy farmer shooting out gobs of tinies in your neck of the woods? Why would they think a 4 pound dog is BIG? Sheesh. People are so strange.

Not that I'm aware of. LOL There is a couple who have 3 Chi's (one 8 pounder & two 3-ish pounders) but we even had Mari & one of their small ones side by side & they were the same size except Mari was a bit longer in length! The one person who always makes comments owns my fav natural dog food/supply store & she is so knowledgeable (about nutrition haha) & nice but it floors me!! I walked in w/Mari one day & she asked if she was a bigger sized Chi. With Lulu I tool her in the first time at 15ish weeks & she asked how old she was so when I told her she looked puzzled (she knows I plan to show her) & was all "what is the weight limit for Chihuahuas". LOL She is from NY I think though so maybe she's seen a lot of smaller ones down there? But really...my two LC's & Maxie are quite small, I don't get it?

LOL!! People either truely think the dogs fit in a teacup, and are that size, so 4 lbers look huge to them, OR, they think chis are all Laurel sized.
In all honesty, when I bought Oakley, all I had as a point of reference was Laurel. The breeder told me Oakley was 2.5 lbs at 5 months old and so I figured she'd be half Laurel's size (who was 20 lb at the time but we didn't know cuz she hadn't been to a vet or weighed). I nearly fell over when I went to the breeder's house and was handed a puppy that was almost 6 months old and that could sit in my hand!!!! She hasn't gotten any taller or longer than when I bought her just filled out a bit...and it still shocks me sometimes how small she and Leah both are. Both of them are "tiny" chis, that look smaller than they are in real life...even though Birdie and Bryco are both a healthy, compact 4.5 pounds, Leah and Oakley are dwarfed by them. It makes no sense to me, it just is that way!
So I think people just do not have a realistic ability to percieve 'size', as I know I did not, without owning multiple chis first.
I also have my two "big" chis, and when we are out with JUST Trigger, who is 7.5 lbs, people are always like OMG SO LITTLE!" HAHAHAHAHA...I want to say...yeah, right. But I just smile and nod.

Lol people crack me up it's the same as no that's not a chihuahua because it has fur lol I do wonder if people who own these dogs know anything about the breed or just get a cute dog.
There's a chi at the school about daisys size at 5.5 months just v underweight and she asked me why leilani was so small I said she's not! She's 3lb and a good size for her age.
