We basically put a summer house onto the end of the conservatory and made it winterproof. The dogs love it. ;D There free to go outside when they want The pup in the middle is Suger (Spices sister )who we had to sell at 6 months as her ears didnt go up

Hahaha...once you go long you never go back. As far as temperment goes...I'd find a breeder that handles the pups often from day one. I also really believe breeders who do the biosensor stimulation exercises make a huge difference as well. These two things paired together with parents with great temperments themselves and continual socialization when you get a pup should really make for a great tempered/sociable pup! I love love love my Chi's...but the difference in between my first six (who all originally came from the same breeder) & Lulu is really amazing. None of mine are terribly behaved with strangers (well, Maya maybe LMAO!) but they definitely make it known they prefer THEIR people. Lulu has not yet met a stranger & is just so happy & outgoing no matter where we are or who is around. Anyway...I just really feel how they spend their very first weeks makes a huge impact on their temperment & how they handle other people & even dogs. We can do a lot when we get them...but only so much IMO.
