Unless she got preggo by 'accident' its pretty bad to breed on a 1st season...their own bones aren't even generally done growing yet Second season is considered ideal for chihuahuas, because their bones are still soft and it makes it easier to free whelp pups if a bitch has that potential...some don't... Breeding later than a 3rd season (which generally is a bit before they turn 2) can be dangerous for a bitch from what I've been told by experienced breeders. I couldn't imagine ANY of my girls having been pregnant yet...they are still SUCH babies!

2nd season is earliest we can't register pups from a dam who was bred before 1.
It also depends on the dog herself. I have a very slow grower/maturer who didn't have her season until about to turn 11 months. She didn't grow from 12 weeks until she was 6 months old (she was still 2lb lol) she is now 16 months and 5lb and is due in season end of the month. She won't be bred 1) because she is not ready she is still ver immature and is still filling out and her pelvis is still widening 2) she would be due in January and we are liable to heavy snow so I am not willing to put her life at further risk by us getting snowed in and not being able to get to the vets.
I would hope this is an oopsie litter, sad thing is there are alternatives out there to stop the pregnancy
