to qualify the whippets for crufts this year.
Yesterday we were at out last champ show this year Midland counties and sadly both boys Romeo and his dad Simba failed to qualify. It looks as if I will be entering Button my ex racing greyhound in the racing bitch class as she doesn't need to qualify for that. I doubt we will take her but it is cheaper to enter her and not take her than to buy tickets to get in.
We are now waiting for LKA to take Buck to his first champ show in the hope he will qualify to go on toy day.

I haven't got long to qualify either I've been v lazy this year
I heard it was hard competition at midland counties this weekend?

I don't know about other breeds but whippets had a very big entry considering the judge was an all rounder rather than a breed specialist 179 dog making over 200 entries and italians had a big entry too.

Ours are averaging 170-200 in long coats at the mo. Another big entry at the British next week. I have one qualified, think it's unlikely the pup will qualify in 2 shows but we will see I will
Be happy if she shows lol seems to be like 12+ in minor puppy ATM

We had 8 in minor puppy dog 11 last week and even more at a breed show at the beggining of the month. It would have been nice to be placed but Romeo behaved well and was a lot more settled than at a club show the weekend before were although the judge really liked him she couldn't place him as he insisted on bouncing round the ring like Tigger ;D Simba who worries about everything and if he has nothing to worry about worries about that too was a lot more relaxed as he knew were he was and he went a lot better too. If I could just get a bit more weight on him and get him to look as if he is even slightly happy about being there we might just get somewere with him.  |

Surely they make allowances for pups being pups? I was always told the judges want to see the pups being puppies.

When my girl was being fussy on the table it knocked her down to 4th instead of 2bd. Judge herself told me!
