Those with LC chis... Has their hair ever been caught in the tool? I have been reading that hair can easily get caught in it, and I am worried because Lion's tail is really long and I am sure he will struggle when I grind his nails... Getting hair caught in that thing sounds painful!

I bought one from Maplins which I use for the bigger dogs claws and I have a PediPaws battery operated one that I use on the italians and Lily's claws. It takes the pups a while to get used to it and OH has to help at first but once they are used to it it is easy.

For those of you that have the one from Harbor Freight, does it vibrate really loudly? From seeing videos yours all seem to have the regular amount of noise. I have to hold mine really tightly or it's super loud. The little sandpaper wheel is screwed on tight so I'm not sure why it is. I have a Harbor Freight near me, I wonder if they would exchange it for me. I don't think it should vibrate as much as it does.

Mine doesn't vibrate really loud Paula. Just kind of hums, if that makes sense? I would see if they will exchange it for you. If not, get another one. They are cheap, it would be worth it to have one that worked right!

I'm pretty sure mine's messed up, it has always been like that. I think it was Heather's that I saw a video of and realized it's much quieter then mine. I'll see if they'll exchange it, (doubtful) if not I'll just pick up another. It's nice having one of their shops nearby as they want almost as much for shipping as the grinder costs.
