I just now realized that finnegan has ruby eyes. lol I always wondered why his eyes had a glow to them esp. in pics. Harder to get a good pic though. Anyone else got a ruby eyed chi?

Yes.. Penny does. Example: It won't go away, no matter what I do with the red eye remover.

Lolly and pandora both have ruby eyes, the others all shine a green/blue colour

Bryco has them too! So I can't use flash when I take pics of him. It's actually desireable to have the ruby glow I think, but I honestly can't remember why. There was some big discussion about it at a dog show that I remember.

Oh wow, I thought Bryco's were dark? haha I dunno why I assumed black pigmented dogs had luminious dark eyes & light pigmented had (or more likely had) luminous ruby eyes? Haha Saying that Marley, Matilda & Mari all have luminous ruby eyes & the rest dark. I used to prefer the lighter eyes but now I think...the darker the better. LOL

Yeah bryco's eyes do look dark in the pics anyway. It's cool and kinda creepy at the same time. I'll look down under the table at my feet and he'll be sitting there looking at me and they like glow. haha I like them though, it's more unusual i guess. All my other dogs have dark eyes.

They are dark, almost black. But their 'glow' is ruby. I really wish I could remember the explanation of why it is desireable!
