Ok, just some background info for those who don't know... Gambit was neutered at 7 months, Kiki was spayed at 12 months. Bogey is 8 months and hasn't had a season (I will have her spayed after her season) and she isn't showing any obvious signs of coming in yet.
So! Earlier this evening, Gambit started following Kiki around and trying to hump her. At first I thought maybe its Rogue coming in to season but he isn't showing any interest in her at all and is obsessed with Kiki. He keeps humping her or standing next to her and humping the air.
I'm a little confused. Why do you think this is?

Does she have a UTI? Sometimes if they have an infection, it gives off an odor the male can detect and can mimic a bitch in season.
Has anything changed in your pack order? Maybe he is wanting to be dominant over her? I would bet it is a UTI though.

My boys got really interested in Lo in the weeks leading up to being diagnosed with her condition. Not saying Kiki has what Lo has, but I would have her seen just since Gambit has shown a sudden interest. I definitely trust my doggies' instincts now. :-)

Hmm good question, Tracy! She isn't showing the typical signs, i.e peeing lots or having accidents. I'll keep an eye on her and if I see anything or Gambit continues, I'll take her to the vets on Tuesday (everything is closing now for New Years).
Darcie, sorry I'm a bit behind, what was Lo diagnosed with?

OK so confused, he's not showed any interest in her AT ALL today. Not even a sniff.
Could it be just a frustrated evening lol. I know he doesn't get those "urges" seeing as he has no bits. I don't understand it!
I'll still keep an eye on Kiki, of course.

Maybe he was just feeling frisky. Who knows. If it doesn't continue, then YAY!

Did he just get a shot or anything? Sometimes shots can make them act that way.
