So Doc had this weird thing happen to him today..
I was in the kitchen with the dogs.. when all of a sudden it kinda looked like Docs legs caved in on him.. Thinking he hurt his leg.. i picked him up to feel his legs.. then he got all stiff so i placed him kinda on my lap.. OMG his head was like rolling around.. and he looked like a rag doll from the chest up.. He was not focusing on anything!!! (like that far away look) Then after.. he calmed down.. kinda came back.(His heart was beating like crazy!!) I just held him for a minute. Then after that he was fine.... He eat dinner no prob.. even took a treat 5 minutes later..
Il keep a close eye on him... but could that have been one?

yes that sounds exactly like a seizure. Maybe it was a one time thing. Keep an eye on him, as of course you will.

sorry, posted yeasterday but not sure what happened as its gone... My little Lula has epilepsy and so i know first hand how awful it is to see a seizure... It might be a one off...lots of dogs i know have had one off seizures for many reasons.... Keep a record of time / date etc and if it does happen again, a visit to the vets may be in order xxx
I hope your little one is fine now...also just a little word of comfort, the dogs apparently know nothng about the seizure once its over and continues about its business like nothing happened...its more traumatic for us to watch

Poor Doc! I hope it was a one & only time thing. I did have Mari have a weird episode like that after she'd fallen over as a puppy. Scared me to death! But she was ok in 30 seconds or so... Definitely is scarier to watch for us than it seems to effect them.
On another note--I can't believe our babies are 4 now! Time goes by so quickly...
