I'm thinking about changing from Royal Canin to Taste of the Wild. So far I had heard all good things about it but today I came across a review that says TOTW has Ethoxyquin in it. Which is poisonous to dogs...does anyone have any more info on it?

I think they used to use it (or their suppliers did who provide the fish meal). A lot of people complained and so now they say on their website that they don't use it. www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/faq#195I think it's a good kibble. It is made by Diamond though which has had numerous recalls and production and quality control problems. So while it is a good brand, it is produced by a company with a dubious track record. So do your research and make up your own mind.

Here's the review...
Poor_Man TOTW has a deadly toxic poison called Ethoxyquin in it.. It is a fish preservative. You will not see it on their website because it is used by the manufacturer and shippers and not by TOTW themselves therefore they are permitted by law not to disclose this fact. JUST an FYI for everyone. I USED TO feed my dogs TOTW until i found this out.
I use FROMMS now .http://www.frommfamily.com/

I think you have to weigh everything up. I think it's one of the better kibble out there.

I agree its one of the better kibbles, and no, it no longer contains ethoxyquin.
