He's been shaking more than usual and is lethargic. I can tell that theres something wrong but I don't know what?! He's eating and drinking,And going to the toilet as normal, I can't see any visible signs of pain but he's had his "poor me" face on since last night and all he wants to do is snuggle on my knee? Does anyone know what this could be? I'm going to get him checked over on Monday at the vet but I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to help him now?

Huh. That clingy behavior can mean anxiety, but the shaking, lethargy and the sad face could mean pain. Our frenchie used to do that when her back hurt. I'd say he probably has an injury or soreness somewhere? I'm glad the vet is going to look him over.

Just wanted to add... if you do think it's pain related, you can try aspirin. The dosage is 5-10mg per pound of weight. So a 5 pound dog would get HALF of a baby aspirin (81mg).
Try half a baby aspiring with food (to protect the stomach) and see if that doesn't help?

I've not got baby aspirin just regular stuff is that ok to use? He's definitely not just being clingy. I've pressed all over his body and he's not yelped but he does look like he's in pain...

How many milligrams is the regular aspirin? Is it 325mg? (That's what we have here.) Your target dose for a 5 pound dog would be 25mg-50mg. That's why a baby aspirin cut in half would be right, because it would be about 40mg, which is right in the middle.
You could cut the regular aspirin in fourths. Each fourth would be 81mg which is a baby aspirin. Then you cut that fourth into half again for the correct dose. So it would be 1/8 of a regular aspirin. Obviously this is not very much!!!
If you have a syringe you could dissolve the aspirin in a teaspoon of water (5ml). Make sure it's completely dissolved and then you could draw up 1/8 of 5 ml.

oh, or make it a little easier and dissolve the regular tablet in 8ml (cc) of water. Then you would give 1ml which would be 1/8. I would crush the tablet first into dust and then mix with the 8ml of water. If you don't have a 10ml syringe, then this won't work. It might be easier to just go get baby aspirin and then just give 1/2 of one.

Love your posts Tracy!
Hope he picks up soon. My billy gets like this when he gets a tummy ache. I give him pro-kolin to help settle it.
