I am now officially sold on Missing Link for helping their coats. I had Roo on it before for a few weeks, and noticed some growth but then it just seemed to stop - so I stopped using it. Well, in the last 6 months Roo's alopecia has sadly become worse. She started to lose a strip of hair down the center of her back, it looked awful. I figured as a last ditch effort I would try the Missing Link religiously for a longer period. Well, I have been using it daily for about 2 months now and her coat is SO much fuller.
The strip down her back is not completely filled in, but is IS better than before. Mainly I really cannot believe how much thicker her coat is, it's honestly amazing. It was extremely thin and sparse before.
Question - Do you think it's ok to give it to her every day? I've been doing that, but feel a little leery about it. What do you all think? Does anyone on here use it daily?

I give 1/2 teaspoon twice a day to dogs I am trying to grow coat on and they do fine with it - my vet thought that was an OK amount too. If I forget to give it for a week or so Bryco starts blowing coat like mad...so, I just keep him on it.

the vet one says its double the nutrients so maybe we could just give double the amount of the normal one?

Paula, that's fabulous!! I'm thrilled! I agree, we need new pics!!!
I think you could certainly give it every day. I alternate between Missing Link and Nupro with Brody on a daily basis.
I am not seeing the great results you are though. Which formula are you using? Brody's coat is super shiny, etc. but he hasn't regrown any hair in his sparse neck area and is still pretty bald on his little belly.

ok I'm going to keep her on it daily then. I've been giving a half teaspoon once a day. I can see it is really making a difference now that I have been using it for awhile regularly. Even my friend commented on it. I'm sorry, I know I have been very slack with the pics. I promise I will get a thread up this week! Thanks for asking. xxxx Tracy - I'm just using the regular version. I still have a lot left. I'm thinking it probably won't grow hair on large bare areas. I doubt it will grow hair on those areas on Roo either. She has some stray hairs there where she didn't before, but nothing that really makes a dent. Where I notice it is her coat overall. It's so much thicker now, I can't believe it really. I can actually run my hands through parts of it, I could never do that before, it was extremely sparse. Her head has a little more hair too. I doubt the bare spot on her back will fill in completely, but every little bit helps, and it has filled in to some extent so I'm thrilled. I wish I hadn't gave up on it before, I wonder if maybe she wouldn't have lost as much on her back.
