Sarah I would see if your vets would agree to classing Daisy as a cross because heaven forbid anything happened to her, they might refuse to pay out because the vets have her down as a Chi.

I'm with Sainsburys - the premium lifetime cover up to £7,500 a year. Alfie's is about £20 a month, Roland's is £25 ( they charge more for puppies as considered higher risk ) and old boy Badger is £33 at the moment, but that will go up in a few months when he turns 9.

That's good that they cover Badger still. I know a few companies won't insure after a certain age, obviously not including lifetime cover.

See, when I got a quote from the KC they wanted something ludicrous like £65 a month to insure Badger! £14 a dog is really cheap!

The kc was a joke for me but I do live in London.
Daisy is down as a chi because she is a chi but she's got a smooth mum and a long daddy so she's a cross according to the kc lol

my renewal from the KC for Bentley this year was over £300!! i thought that was ridiculous have never claimed and it has gone up £50 a year over 3 years so i cancelled it, will be interested to see what Ruby's is considering i claimed for a section last year her breeders insurance was actually cheaper than B's as i think they had changed underwriters
