Welcome Gill! I hope you find a pup that fits just perfectly with your family. If you bring one home now, it will need a brother/sister just in time for your Birthday

I'm thinking that perhaps if I save my pennies between now and March I could possibly get TWO chi babies at the same time Years ago, in the early 90's, I had two jack russell pups, Buster & Heidi, at the same time (both adorable and I couldn't choose between them so took them both!) and they weren't a bit of bother - no problems with separation anxiety...no problems with them chewing the house as they preferred to chew each other and they were just an absolute joy from the minute they arrived home! Would there be any problems or drawbacks to getting two pups from the same litter? And what sex? Would two girls get on ok? I don't want to breed so would be getting them spayed once they were fully mature. They would both be 'just' well-loved family members who would be coming on holidays around the UK with us

Wouldn't recommend getting 2 at the same time and unlikely a reputable breeder would sell you 2 together. They would bond to each other not you.
You're better off getting one then another 6 months later. Makes toilet training a lot easier too as they tend to follow each other out.

I never thought of that - thanks One it is then for my birthday in March and then I'll *no doubt* add to the collection at regular intervals ;D
