Yeah, it is true! They can drive you nuts when they are shedding out puppy coat and growing adult coat. You can give her a vigorous bath in a moisturizing oatmeal shampoo and cool water twice a month to help the process along. Even once a week really isn't too much just during the shedding and coat growth period.

Thanks for the info,I was getting worried as my bulldog had terrible allergies 37 in total due to vacs, she was even allergic to car fumes!,she had to be put to sleep as she became so Ill that it was affecting her breathing,so every time betsy itches I panic!,the vet told me to relax but I can't,but now you have reassured me it's normal then now I can relax, how long until she loses the puppy coat?im raw feeding her and she gets emu oil and cocanut oil in very small amounts ,too much perhaps?ive turned into a bit of a homeopathic nut since my bulldog and prefer natural products to meds but don't want to over do it as I know she should not need supplements on raw but I was advised to feed frozen blocks for a few weeks before buying butchered meats,my bulldog was raw fed and ate all meats ,I'm a bit too fussy with betsy probably due to her size,,karen

at 15 weeks i wouldnt expect it to be itchy... not enough to notice anyway.. What is she being fed? You can also add in fish oils which help ease the itch. My boy is 17 weeks and has a bald neck lol hes blowing his coat but not scratching at all.
I would keep her throughly moisturised inside and out just to help and.......
some pictures for us my help ease her itching

I'm raw feeding her ,she's doing well on raw,she has emu oil which has omega 3,6 and 9'also a small amount of cocanut oil for her coat ,she doesn't itch enough to mark herself ,the breeder said its like growing a beard and will be itchy untill her adult coat comes in !,karen

I have the app but still can't figure it out !,I had my bulldog on emu oil as she could not tolerate fish,it's supposed to be one of the best sources of omega oil and dogs love the taste also, what age is the usual age for changing coat?i use a slicker brush on her and she fills the brush each time is this normal,oh and she's 16 weeks I justed checked lol, karen
