It's completely normal, especially if you're used to bigger breeds. You'll get a feel for it in no time and then you'll forget what it's like to NOT have a Chi in your life

i used to baby mine all the time too~ be like ohh poor baby.. now im like oh.. your fine... deal with it dogs lol I know what you mean tho.. caus they are so tiny they will totally take advantage over you if they can.. Chis are crazy smart and will totally play you lol.

I don't baby her lol,she gets told off,I don't carry her anywhere,I don't baby talk her I was told to treat her as if she is a German shepherd otherwise she will rule me lol,it's the physical handling I'm not keen on but I will get used to it,when we walk and we meet something unfamiliar and she backs off I ignore her and make her walk ,she plays with all the big dogs at ring classes and her best friend is a wire haired visla lol he's adorable and so gentle with her,so nope no babying here and as I intend to have more chi's then if betsy knows her place then she will let any new dogs what thier places are lol,I have to admit to falling in love with the breed and I would not have another big breed now ,karen
