My APH Story *very pic heavy*

This is my little girl Twiglet. Weighing in at 440g, she was a year old in March and is an Algerian Chocolate

Last year I also had an Albino male named Beano, who is Twiglets brother. But sadly he never settled with me so went back to live with the breeder. I never really got to know him, but I still kinda miss him. Here is picture of him from a show

On returning Beano, I then brought home an Albino baby called Rosie.




She lived in Beano's old viv


I sadly had to return Rosie to her breeder a few months back after my personal circumstances changed. Its a decision I still regret making to this day but at the time was the only option I still love her to bits and miss her like crazy. She is the only hog i've had from a little baby. Twiglet was around 15weeks old when I got her.

And this is Pumba. A Chocolate Pinto male. My friend was looking for a new home for him so I offered to take him. He will be joining our family once we have moved. My friend is keeping him untill then.






I'm hoping once we haved and settled I can extend my hog family and possibly have a small breeding herd. I'm very hopeful that one day Rosie may return home but we shall have to wait and see. Twiglet is too old to be bred from, and Pumba has very little lineage so they are both pets and will not be bred from.

I keep looking at hedgehogs! I love them, but it's just the outlay, I couldn't afford it ATM. My youngest son said to me the other day that he wants a hamster, I said why not have a Hedgehog instead!! Lol he didn't know you could have hedgehogs as pets. I'm gonna show him this thread in the morning.

So cute! I love her splat pic, so cute with her adorable little footsies stretched out behind her Pumba has a very unique nose! Is he a different kind of hedgie? Ive never seen one with a nose like this before.
I had a hedgehog when I was young, but didnt spend enough time with her so after a year or so my mom gave her to close friends who gave her a much better home than I had. Theyre so adorable, a girl on my floor my freshman year at university had a hedgehog that she brought everywhere, they obviously make wonderful pets if you invest the time. I think I was just too young to take proper care of her. I remember that she LOVED to climb into your clothes, and she would go really high up your pant leg and then get jammed, and getting her out was quite prickly lol!
