Dog Food Warning--Please Check for your Brand!

I know we all want the best nutrition for our Chi's...or cats & other pets at that. This link shows a list of some popular foods that some may be feeding w/o realizing what they are actually putting down for their pets to eat. Some of the foods listed are vet recommended & all are the brands you see at the grocery store every time you walk down the pet isle. These are the very foods that may contain euthanized pets! Me too. I'm glad they finally put the brand names out there. For so long it was "some popular brands"...so it's good to have the start of a list though I'm sure there are many more than whats on there! But hey, it's a starting point!

That is disgusting!! Yet another reason why I wouldn't touch 99% of manufactured pet food!

I've used Whiskas & Science Plan in my hedgehogs food mix so I will definatly not be using those again! (Its hard to find good food for them as they can't have much over 30% protein)

I was recently flamed on another forum for raving about RAW and saying how bad most pet food is. I just can't believe some people will not open their eyes! Just because the dogs are 'fine' on it and 'look good' on it, doesn't mean its good for them.

This is just even more proof of the dispicable ways of the pet food trade!

The thing is though, Steph, if someone was raving about a pet food, wouldn't you say ewww etc lol. I think we all have to go carefully about what we say. We can't force our beliefs on to other people. Some people really, truly believe in certain brands of dog food and won't have a bad word said about it.
As long as you know that what you're giving your dog is the best food for him, thats all that matters. Don't let what other people say about raw bother you, its each to their own. Really the improvement you're seeing in Louie speaks for itself!
