Travel - Changes to Entry Requirements (Ireland)

Wasn't really sure where to post this, but there will be massive changes to Entry Requirements from 1 January 2012 (to/from Ireland). I am so excited; this means we will be able to take our chis with us on holidays without all those expensive and complicated procedures. This also means that maybe someday I could import a chi puppy somewhere from Europe!

I suppose if Ireland is changing all those requirements, then Uk will too, we will get lots more dogs from Europe for Crufts and other shows larger gene pool too.

How interesting I doubt they will change ours not sure if I want them too there needs to be some form of criteria we don't need dirty diseases coming in

I think they're still keeping it safe though, sounds really good. I didn't know it was such a complicated procedure over there!

That's brilliant. I mean, I'm not sure what it will mean for importing dogs. Obviously it will be a LOT easier but as far as the quality of UK chi's dropping or rising?

I think especially for people who take their dogs abroad on holiday or for people who are emigrating, it's great news.
