Okay, we had RedDingo, but they were too heavy for Goo and made a bald spot on his chest. I want something good, not extremely pricey, will last and is lightweight. Ofcourse I'd also like something unique. :S I will probably be ordering the RedDingo again for Betty & the big dog, but I wonder if maybe I shouldn't just get the chis something similar and lightweight.

That's weird. How big/small is Goo? What size Dingo tag did you get? The cat/small fit my girls perfect, and Izzie is pretty small, 3.4 lbs.

Aww, maybe Goo is just special? LOL We got the small/cat ones and his was so heavy that the collar and tag wore away all the hair on his chest. Bettys was fine. I am thinking about Etsy and also maybe just getting the boring ones from the PetStore.

I think it sounds like the collar might be more the issue?

Kelly, are you POSITIVE that the collar/tag is causing hair loss on the neck? That's what I thought about Brody! I was sure that his collar and tag were rubbing his hair off. Turns out he lost all the hair on his neck and most on his chest. It's just a form of alopecia that chi's get.
If you change collars/tags and it doesn't re-grow I bet that's what it is.

Kristi, I am pretty sure it may have been a combination of the two.. the collar is a nice thin, leather collar. The weight of the tag wasn't allowing the collar to move around, and only the spot where the tag hung lost hair.
Tracy, yeah, I am positive. He grew all his hair back a few weeks after removing the collar/tag. Nice and hairy now! It's on a white spot too, I thought the hairloss from alopecia was normally on black/blue areas?
