Ok, so I have decided to neuter my male chihuahua. However, I am getting so many mixed opinions on when to have the procedure done. He is 7 1/2 months now and a bit over 5 pounds. I'm being told between 6 -8 months as well as after he is full grown so his mental and physical growth is not interrupted. Which is it??? And why? I've cancelled two appointments already because I wan't to do what's best for my little guy. I would be beside myself if anything bad happened to him. Please help so I make the right choice! Thanks. Heres a reason to spay and/or neuter your pet.....SO THAT THEM AND THEIR PUPPIES DON'T END UP IN SHELTERS WHERE THEY WILL BE EUTHUNIZED!!!!!!!!

I got my girl spayed at seven months. I'm so glad I did, because now I don't have to worry about her going into heat and/or getting pregnant. She's such a good girl.
