Wow, I see that missing teeth is a fault in the FCI standard also. Interesting! Up til the most recent revision by CCA the us standard faulted missing teeth as well ! Bryco has a missing tooth and has done fine, it says they can miss 2...but I have heard other people bitch and moan endlessly that it is why their dog isn't winning. Anyway, I find it interesting they allowed missing teeth via our standard. I'm glad b'c it means I can show B and not worry as much, lmbo but at the same time, really? missing teeth?

They want 6/6 scissor bites but allow crap confirmation - it's crazy
Is an open molera not a DQ under FCI now too?

Where I read a translation it was which seems ridiculous too!! And what actually counts as open because if I feel daisys head she has the seam then a teeny tiny whole at the end (prob as thin as a finger nail) would that technically be open? And what about in puppies??
I can't fathom why they aren't all the same anyway!

I've heard somewhere that shows don't like to see black long coats as the colour easily hides faults. Do you think there's any truth to that?

I've heard somewhere that shows don't like to see black long coats as the colour easily hides faults. Do you think there's any truth to that? Its not that they don't like to see them...LOL...its that they CAN'T. So a lot of times they get overlooked. The dog's expression gets lost in the black of its face. But a black coat doesn't hide faults any easier than a fawn or white one does, its mostly just that their faces get lost and so often judges overlook them, as it's a companion breed and part of the standard is having a saucy expression. Lots of people show black LC and SC successfully though, it just takes a big longer typically b'c you have to find the judges willing to really look at them.

You know what? I had all good intentions to show Elmo when I first got him but the thought of having to keep his coat long and tangle free scared the life out of me!!! I've found a ringcraft near me that runs on a Thur evening and once a month they also do matches so I think I'll email them and pop there tom to watch
