Cool thanks I will give them a ring and see what they say Yeah I thought it would probably be difficult to get a puppy from Ballybroke considering how well known they are! I don't necessarily want to show just want to guarantee that I find a healthy puppy

Oh allergies can be a problem I'd definitely find out first if its possible for him to be around them before you start looking otherwise it might be very disappointing. You will find that you'll more than likely have to travel lol Its not always about how well known a breeder is though, not every puppy from every litter will be show quality so they do occasionally have pet quality pups (which are just as nice) available. I would just talk to as many people as possible. As Sarah said, contact BCC and see if they can point you in the right direction.

Ok I'm allergic to smooths if they start shedding on me I get huge rashes and my throat closes up and I can't breath. Longs I am fine with (obv) although with their seasonal shed I make sure it's all out and Hoover a lot!!
Graham does sell pups but without papers so he protects his lines. He had a litter on the kc site a while back it was of smooths.
But I do agree with you get your bf around them to check because you don't wanna end up having to send it back to breeder.

Yeah when I was researching I found that smooth coats shed more than long coats... seems strange but that is one of the reasons I was going for a long coat. He's allergic to my hamsters (mildly) but we think its actually the dust from their bedding rather than their dander/fur whatever. My cat sets him off sometimes too but he is always covered in dust/grass from outside (bf has hayfever too) so that could be why. But yeah definitely need to check.... that would break my heart if i had to take the chi back (or......get a new boyfriend? ;D)
