I use it if a dog has really bad staining...used it for a bit when Ivy came to me, prob only about 2 weeks tho, as soon as I got her off the Royal Canin she basically stopped tearing. Never used it on Bryco, but did try it out on Oakley for a month when she was younger before I knew about raw.
Giving Birdie a super low dose 1x a day right now to help clear her tears up -- honestly I dry their eyes obsessively...if I notice tearing, out come the tissues. Birdie's eyes already look 100x better after just a week, and I just started the Angel's Eyes yesterday. I can see healthy fur coming back in around the rims that isn't stained, and the rest will follow.
I find that using Angel's eyes to clear up the stain is good but then you have to be vigilant about drying their faces off. Be sure your food has no beet pulp in it either as that will cause staining in the worst way.

I've heard that tomato pomace (along with beet pulp) is another culprit in tear staining. If you have a lot of minerals in your water, that can cause it too. So definitely check the ingredients on food if you are feeding kibble. As a last resort, you can try bottled water.

We use bottled water now Tracy, for the dogs...we have well water and its so full of minerals Bryco got staining almost immediately when we moved in here, I could've cried! Then I realized probably what the cause was (it was that or ACV), switched it up and it got better.

Kristi, I've heard that about well water!! You just confirmed it. Wow. Glad that you figured out the culprit before our little champ got a stained face!

He got a little staining and I freaked out!!! HAHA Miles said I was nuts. But yeah, within a week or so of well water, he got staining.
Then, within a week of starting ACV he got some staining -- now that was surprising because people suggest it to keep tear stains at bay? I don't know, didn't work for him, but didn't bother anyone else...just he's not on it anymore. Guess the boy can handle a good old fashioned raw diet and thats about it lmbo.
But yeah, of course it shocked me as since I cleared up his puppy stains his face has been 100% clear! I was reading ingredients on everything he gets to see if they'd changed something!

I've been using Angel Eyes for Lulu for almost 3 weeks & don't notice much difference. But I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it's her color coming in & not staining as I always keep her dry yet it seems to be spreading. I'll do it for 2 months though just in case her adult facial coat is slow to come in. Never thought of well water creating tear stains though...hmmm.

I ordered some about a week ago from a seller off eBay. It's coming from America. I only wanted it for Darcy. Non of my others have staining. Can't wait for it to get here!
