Hi guys, Kasapr has a overbite. Hence why he was sold to me as a pet only and not for breeding. I've been keeping an eye on his teeth and jaw as he develops. I've now noticed that on his top row he has an extra tooth growing above another one. Almost like it's an overcrowded mouth? I will post some photos below, they aren't great quality as it's hard to get him to sit pretty whilst I'm lifting his mouth and taking a photo on my phone. Is doesn't seem to be causing him any problems at the moment but I'm a bit concerned for the future? Any guidance??

The puppy teeth have not come loose yet -- when you have him neutered, you can request they pull any remaining puppy teeth. Its really common for this to be a problem in chis tho so don't worry Most of us have had to have puppy teeth pulled here or there on our dogs, most do it at time of spay/neuter.

Phew! Was just reading other teeth posts and saw baby teeth being mentioned. He's 6 months at the start of september, as soon as he hits that he's being booked in and being snipped! Hes lifting his leg to pee occasionally so I know he's almost ready and I don't want any of that marking malarky going on!
It's just this one extra tooth, it looks so weird! Like a mutant mouth or something :-)

I know, tiny little shark mouths! Haha I had one puppy where NONE of the puppy teeth on the top/bottom fell out, so he had two complete rows of teeth, they pulled the puppy ones at his neuter obviously tho

He reminds me of Lucy gambit so much. He's overshot quite badly and has double teeth she's had them all pulle when he was neutered but they missed one!
I'd he will let you wobble them if u can get them out it'll save you money as they charge per tooth!!
Hate marking it's 80% the reason why I won't ever have a boy

Try different chewies for him like some tendon chews, nylabones, pizzle sticks, it might come out on it's own, not that it matters if they can get it out on the neuter op- (just some vets will try and rip you off for the tooth pull). Feo had a baby tooth pulled during his op and he didn't seen in any discomfort with it.
I had my sister Lici call me from spain last week, saying she was thinking of buying a chihuahua puppy, it was reduced because it had a severe underbite- it was from a pet shop- Jesus has she not listened to one single rant about pet shops I have had. I managed to talk her out of it phew!
