They look totally different body shapes penny looks very fine boned where as Lola is thicker set. Idl how much it's hard with longs because their coats cover their shape I would honestly go on her body condition I'd get her down to 5lb then re evaluate!
Hun she needs to be as thin as she can be without being underweight because of her knees she honestly can't have any extra weight on her you want to build her leg muscles up and have no weight at all on them! I have a feeling 4 1/2 lb is gonna be ideal for her as shell be looking very trim!

I'm no good with weights but I personally don't go by the scales anyway, every dog is different. I prefer to judge by the body condition. Kiki has a very high metabolism and its hard to keep weight on her but I don't weigh her, I just keep an on on her. You should be able to feel the ribs easily and you should be able to see their waist and tuck up.

This gives a good indication. But remember Lola is a lc so they can sometimes look a little bigger than they are.

Lula is on a diet..She put on loads of weight over Nov / Dec when we had all that snow and couldn't go out much. (she hates to walk in the snow!!)
She's been on the Royal canin obesity diet. My vets do the 'fat fighters' service for free and monitor and weigh her every two weeks initially then every month as a check to see how she's progressing. She's lost nearly 1.5 lbs as she was super over weight!! shes now her target weight. It took from the end of Dec to beginning of April so just over 3 months. She has 42gms of the royal canin and also about 25gms chicken breast per day. We split that over 3 meals... no treat or snacks at all! She's super active and runs about so much easier now..We do loads of training which she could do when fat but now its all got that much easier! good luck with Lola xxx
