Okay I am very OCD about their portion sizes and Kiki has put on weight, well they all have, so I'm reajusting their portions. Anyway, I always use the raw calculator Tracy suggested ( www.raw4dogs.com/calculate.htm ), and I've just gone to use it and for some strange reason, I can't work out what I'm doing The two boxes that the calculations pop up in, which is which? It says 78g or 39g. Is that 78g per day and 39 per meal (two meals a day)? I don't know why I'm suddenly confused and I never have been before lol

Yes, the top box is the daily amount and the second box is half if you fed twice a day.
You can go down to 2% of total body weight a day if you need to. Brody actually gets about 4% since he is a skinny minny. But he self regulates. He will often skip breakfast and then just eat once a day.
Have you tried once a day feeding with larger portions? Some dogs do better on that as they get a larger meal.

Thats exactly what I do, Tracy ;D They gobble it down so fast a small portion is pointless as they dont get the benefits from chewing. Kiki is on about 4% but I was thinking of knocking it down to 3% as she's a good weight now and any more and she'll be overweight I think. Ok, here's where I'm confused again. Please help Gambit was 4.6lbs and has finally gained an extra 6oz making him 4.12lbs. When I try and calculate how much he needs, the calculator things I'm putting in 4.1 not 4.12, if that makes sense? So its thinking he's like 1.8kg when really he's over 2kg. I don't know if im making sense or confusing myself even more lol. I know I'm over thinking this but as soon as I have it all written down I know exactly where I am and feel much better!

Yeah, I'm like Sarah. I just eyeball it. I do understand wanting to weigh things out though. But once you are used to seeing what an ounce looks like, you should be able to just hand it out. Cut back if they are looking pudgy. Add a little more if you see ribs. See? Easssssssy.

Thanks Tracy!
Sarah lmao I knew you'd say that but you know how I am. If I had one I think I'd be more relaxed about it but I get really stressed if numbers aren't right, but thats how I am in life in general. If I'm following a recipe, everything has to be exact or it makes me feel irritated lmao
