Yesterday I took leilani to pets at home and Argos (needed a BBQ for sat lol) for more socialisation and it makes me die first of all you get the
Eeeee chihuahua... Then Is that a puppy? (I mean seriously she's like 5 inches tall lmao) How old is she? And then will she get any bigger!!! I'm so rude and am like did you not hear she is 14 weeks old, dogs don't stop growing at 14 weeks you numpty!
Then what's even worse I met another chi (poss a mix wasn't sure) yesterday and that owner said oh she won't grow much more I stood There going are you serious! I had daisy and lotus with me and they giant leilani ATM neither are big they're like normal size chis and I'm like she's 14 weeks she will grow she should br about 5lb!!
I honestly cant get why all common sense goes out the window with chis it's like they think because they are small as adults they don't grow does my head in!!

At least you didn't get the cliche "Is that a rat" so annoying.

Hahaha Hollie! People say to me "What is it?" and I say "A dog" then they look at me like I'm stupid lmao I have to have a little bit of fun though! Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy talking to people about my dogs and I suppose they can't know that I get asked the same questions all the time. But it is funny when people ask if a puppy will grow anymore. I always say "Well I bloody hope so" hahahahaha The other one I get is "who's the mum and dad" bahahahaha like if you have a female and a male then SURELY you must breed. Its the law, isn't it? (Never mind the fact that everyones had the snip )

Oh I soooooooooooooooo hear you! I never get why people ask if they'll get any bigger when you tell them your dog is a puppy. D'oh...really?! How can anyone think a young Chi won't grow...even when they have one?! People can be so...dim as you say. LOL I dropped Gab off at a friends house a couple weekends ago & a guy there I went to school with was like "WHAT is THAT?!" to Lulu as he stared in amazement. I was like..."uhhhh a DOG?". When I left I was like, oh I should have said she was a Chi because he probably really didn't know! hahaha I just get so used to people being smart arsed & he did call her a hamster so I didn't feel too bad about being rude I guess. Hamster is better than a rat though!

People just don't think. While mine aren't puppies it seems I get the same questions time and again. I can predict it now. It goes like this: Oooh is that a chihuahua? Yes. Oh they are so little! Are they full grown? Yes. Oooh! They're teacups then! Argh! And mine aren't even that small, yet that is the way it goes almost every time it seems. The best comment I ever got was a little girl walking with her Mother pointed to Roo and said, look Mommy that lady is walking a kitten. LOL.

Hahaha...people are stupid. All but 2 of mine are under 5 lb and the only ones people assume are full grown are Laurel/Trigger, they also assume they are the parents (ugh). Oakley is the smallest adult dog on our vet's books and she is tiny even compared to Leah and no one believes she is an adult...sigh. It kind of becomes an annoying conversation?
So many 'breeders' say they are full grown at like 4 months which pisses me off!
