Good on Miles for saying something. Rude people disgust me and deserve to be put in their place. We were walking down the street, Miles and I, with Oakley, back when we had first gotten her, and some jackass teen kid covered in pimples with his fat little girlfriend said "dude why the fuck you let her get that rat?" and he looks at the teenager and goes "first of all, it's a dog, not a rat, and second of all, have you SEEN the woman holding the other end of the lead? you could only dream of a dog so cute or a woman so beautiful"...he pauses, looks over at the girl, and then adds..."or thin". LMBO while the last comment wasnt very nice he said it anyway haha I hate people. Everyone has issues and no one should be made to feel bad for them tho, haha. I wish he hasn't said the last part but they shut up...!

I can't believe someone would try and pick someone's dog up without asking, that is so rude. I do let people hold mine if they ask, but like Sarah kids must be sitting on the floor/ground. Pip especially loves the attention. lol.

Yeah we were at the park once and this guy with his two children asked if they could have their pic taken with Kiki and Gambit (pre-Chaos) and I said yes so we got them to sit on the bench. They were SO happy. I find it amazing lol.
I had some guy pic up Rogue today! I thought he was bending to stroke her but he just picked her up so I just said, please be extra careful because she could jumped and then he put her down. I didn't want to go nuts on him and make Rogue feel anxious because she loves EVERYONE at the moment and I'm hoping to keep it that way lol. But I usually do not let people hold my dogs because they don't like being held, even by me lol.

I think there's nothing more attractive than a man who isn't afraid to give his heart to a little dog I agree, my husband loves ours and is always happy to help out with any animals in need, he's been a "saint" over the years A few nights ago we were both ready for bed when someone rang about an injured baby gull. We got ready and went out with basket, gloves and towel, only to find gull did NOT have a broken wing and was quite capable of flying up onto wall He never said a word bless him

What a lovely, patient man! And how lovely of you both to go out and help.

What a lovely, patient man! And how lovely of you both to go out and help. He has his virtues! Once did a 6 round trip on his own, while I was at work, to get a dog out of the area ... long story

I must say I have been shocked these past few months while out walking my three Chi's. I have now lost count of the people who have come over to say hello and chat about Chi's then go on to tell me some horror story of how bigger dogs had killed their Chi or people they know that have had one killed by a bigger dog. I know some of the sight hounds along with other breeds or crosses may kill small dogs etc. If they think they are a rabbit or do it for fun I'm not sure. I always remember a friend of mine with a Border Terrier bitch that when being walked through fields was set on by two large dogs who's owner could'nt control them and she got so badly mauled that by the time she got her to the vet, after my friend flagging down a stranger to drive her there, she had died. This little bitch was on the lead at the time. It does make you think though and although I dont like to scoop mine up at the sight of any larger dog it does make you think twice. I had my Sheltie jumped on and bitten by a large dog once in the car park at an open show while both were on leads. My poor girls back despite many visits to the 'back man' was never the same again. I can tell you the owner had the shock of her life though after she had let her dog drag her over to mine and told me 'Dont worry he just wants to say hello' just before he dived on her. I turned into a swearing loony but what did she expect.
