Hello Hey Chihuahua guys.
I am Lisa and was pointed in this direction by Sarah.
I do recognise a few names from CP but not sure you'd recognise me.
I have 2 chihuahuas, Pixel who is my angel. I have had her since last October, no idea about the breed much at that point, I had met a chihuahua in person for the first time and something just 'clicked' inside me. I was smitten and couldn't stop thinking about them, asking my husband could we get one - always he said NO WAY! Not a chihuahua! Anyway he said yes one day and so I didn't waste time (which turned out to be my big mistake) we found someone that day and adopted Pixel with no questions asked, very very niave. She has had nothing but problems and taught me a lesson about haste. Latest is shes had a LP op and now she can't stop weeing and wetting her bed following metacam use, hoping it's a UTI but her wee was tested yesterday and was clear, she's on antibiotics with a blood test scheduled Monday which I hope we don't need.
I also have Rez, I love him too but not quite as smitten as I am with Pixel. He has floppy ears at the mo, very thin ears and quite a size if they ever stand up! I had initially wanted to adopt his brother (another LC) but he was so shy it put me off, Rez was more forthcoming and loving so even though he didn't meet what I wanted in looks he was better for us.
He came home and he and Pixel began wonderful games for a few days until she slipped and bashed her knee, that's when her LP was discovered and they have had to not play ever since. Typical eh?
Ok well that turned into an essay!
Briefly I also have 2 daughters (5 and 9) who are doggy mad too.
I run a guinea pig rescue from my house
I work occassionally, although I need to do more - I train people in conflict resolution and mediation amongst other things, last job I had was with abused women, helping them gain their confidence - great job and I hope it becomes more regular.
That's me!
Lisa

PS Edited to add - expect to see me online alot, I don't shut down my laptop and I keep my fav sites open. I am often browsing at the mo with Pixel on my lap, I have her lead in my hand and can only browse, not type. So currently doing lots of reading until she's recovered - I hate crating her all the time.
