We had to stay near Stansted on the weekend and I found a Days Inn at the services which advertised that they allowed dogs £5 each £51 for a room (also allowed smoking The Days Inn is your standard type of travel lodge based on the services at Bishop Stortford J8 M11 Not luxury but comfortable 1 double 1 single bed, bathroom, tea & coffee and a tv all we needed. Anyway when we arrived the receptionist said they don't charge for dogs they just take a £10 cash deposit in case they do any damage. On check out she popped up to the room to check it and gave me my money back. I would definitely stay there again if i was in the area The service station is a few yards walk, I put Tyson on my bag and we snuck him in for a Kentucky meal. ;D

Wow that's fab, we booked a night at the travel lodge (I think) in Blackburn for the NCCC champ, it was 25ish per room with the same set up, but was 20quid per dog!! I only said I was bringing one hopefully I won't get caught bringing in the others!!!!

OUch £20 per dog? That's ridiculous! I think its far better to charge a deposit in case of damage. I mean, even if you only bring one, what if they do £20 more of damage?

Oh Lucy and I know that service station well hahahaha
I need to book a hotel for a couple of shows really! It's such a pain if they charge per dog though

Pretty sure it's illegal to smoke in hotels :s how odd Only in the public areas not the rooms it is up to the hotel to decide how many smoking rooms they provided and most places don't provide smoking rooms any more
