OMG Bryco's was HUGE! I'm afraid that would sort of creep me out! Brody had one about nickel sized when we got him, then it gradually went to dime sized and stayed that size for a long time. Sometime around a year old, it completely closed. Now it's completely gone and you can't even feel seams or where it was.

I don't think it was yours I saw though Sarah...I'd have remembered if it was you. It was someone I don't really "know"...just someone I have on my FB. LOL Anyway....I think it's bogus & hope nothing comes of it! OMG Kristi that would have creeped me out a LOT! YIKES!!! Seems like small moleras are the norm. I can feel the seam with Milo & Matilda...just no actual molera. Sarah I always read that if they still have one at 1 they typically always keep one? I bet Lotus will keep one...especially if it's still that big? None of mine seemed to change after 1yr but I suppose it depends on the dog.

Her line is slow maturing so I would expect her to change more? Her head is still growing so idk

Yeah I suppose it would make sense if she's still maturing. You'll have to update is around her 2yr bday--I'm curious to know if she keeps it or not.

Bryco's was the ENTIRE top of his head when I got him, bigger than the bottom of a pop can. That was creepy. His is the smallest now out of the remaining 5 that have them. omg!! That would be so scary!

Yeah, his was HUGE! Our vet had never felt one so big. Bryco's head has been extremely slow to mature, but it just keeps getting bigger now LOL. Head growth doesn't have much to do, I don't think, w/ size of molera tho...who knows? Because his head has continued to mature long after his molera basically closed up. His mom was under 4 lbs and the breeder said the mom and dad made a good combo b'c the dad has a massive head but throws completely open skulls os they can smush on the way out and be born naturally. He assured me B's would close over and it basically has.

Urgh I remember when my son was a baby his used to pulsate yuck! lol so creepy!
None of mine have it, Rogue does but its smaller, small than Sarah's Leilani (littermate) so I think hers might close soon.
I think they call it molera in dogs but for babies we call it a fontanelle.

Rez's pulsates and it does creep me out - I hope it closes properly. Pixel has that seam - they put it as part of the description for an apple head (I read somewhere) when it makes a 'dip' seam.
