How do I get rid of Roxy's eye boogies? She has them quite often. I assumed it went along with diet as many other things do. She eats Fromm, S&C freeze dried pattys, and ZiwiPeak. For now, I think this is a pretty good diet for her! Why may she be getting eye boogies often? And what can I do to reduce them? She's not on any supplements or vitamins or oils. I was thinking of adding some in. Will this help the boogie situation?

I'm not sure. Your diet looks awesome. Is there grains in Fromm? That's the only thing I can think of. Some dogs are sensitive to grains or carbs like potatos or peas. You can sure add in some salmon oil. Not sure if it will help the situation or not but worth a try?

Oh good call. Hmmmm. Yeah. It does have some grains in it. They do have two grain-free kinds though! Maybe I'll buy a bag of that and see if that helps! Thanks Tracy, as always!

I have a few that occasionally get eye boogies too...idk why as they are raw fed and so I can only assume it probably is environmental?

Hmmmmmmmmmm! Very odd. Do you do anything besides just wiping them away to try and reduce them? Roxy gets them daily. I guess it's not a big deal. It's just gross though. Her eyes will also be a bit watery sometimes ... or look like they have a wet film over them too...

I wipe everyone's eyes with a warm washcloth before bed that's about it -- only Trig gets them really, and occasionally Leah. But everyone gets their eyes wiped anyway. Mostly I only notice them 1st thing in the morning though.

Bad diet could possible increase tear staining, but they eye bogies are just natural, there is mucous arround the eyes as it traps bacteria. Eyes, nose and throat are all connected, so it is just there. I just wipe the corner of their eyes when mine have it showing.

Pixels eyes water terribly if she eats any kind of kibble at all. Cut out kibble and they do still water but tiny bit.
