I am obviously aware of the work BCC Rescue do I also know many general rescues help Chihuahuas in need But I wonder how many, if any independant Chihuahua rescues there are, if any in the UK? I have seen one general rescue which has specifically set up a seperate "side" for Chihuahuas. Seems odd to me somehow, but I guess they have their reasons for doing so. There were a lot of these small rescue people around at one time, but most people now work under the umbrella of a larger rescue now, probably due to financial restraint! Thank you x

I don't know of any but I hope there are.
Yes I know of 2 guinea rescues closed over the last few weeks. It is sad. I can't afford to run mine at the same level as I have done in the past.

I don't know of any but I hope there are. Yes I know of 2 guinea rescues closed over the last few weeks. It is sad. I can't afford to run mine at the same level as I have done in the past. I think it's getting so hard for small rescues, whatever they specialise in I used to work to pay rescue vet bills in the end, so easier now to simply help where I can and with local rescue. I have toyed with the idea of starting our own small Chihauhua rescue, but it's not really necessary as we have such good local rescues anyway who can help if needed. Thankfully Chi's are not difficult to find homes for, so I've never personally had one that needed to go into rescue I think some of the Chihauhua crosses that I think we'll soon be seeing much more of needing new homes will be more problematic We have someone locally with a Patterdale x Chihuahua and he is a handful, "the writing is on the wall" that he'll not be kept much longer. So sad. I'm trying to get him neutered, but owner not keen, but we'll see.
