I picked up the Bissel Pet Hair Eraser hand held vacuum and it's seriously awesome. Pip sheds a lot and because of the type of material of my sofa is his hair really gets stuck in there. I always have the worst time cleaning his hair off the sofa. This has a rubber like opening and really gets the hair loose and then sucks it up. It works much better then my regular vacuum attachments, those really barely budge it. For those of you fighting pet hair, you might want to consider it. I'm so happy I bought it. I'm sure lots of places carry it, but I got mine on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Bissell-Eraser-Handheld-Vacuum-33A1/dp/B001EYFQ28/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314652839&sr=8-1

Pricewise it's a great deal, I may have to get one at some point. We don't have to deal with loose fur TOO much but enough that it would be handy to have. Is it heavy to carry around when you use it? Is it battery powered or does it plug in?

That's cool. Brody doesn't shed. But the cats sure do!! UGH - they are shedding machines! I really think this would work great for them.

It's sorta backwards, imo, with the way you are supposed to use it. It works great though.
