I would want stacked pictures of the puppy! You can't tell much when they are lying down, sitting, etc. Have these breeders shown their dogs? Just because certain bloodlines are behind the dogs doesn't mean much. A lot of unscrupulous breeders will say they have "champion lines" etc. just to sell puppies. I would be cautious just because of the pictures she has sent you! If you are looking for a dog to show, the puppy should be stacked! There should also be pics of the parents stacked as well. Videos of mom and dad moving and stacked would be helpful as well.

you would be surprised how many top winning dogs come from pet breeders, they dont know what there looking for but if you have the eye you could get something good. i was told to go and see as many pet and show breeders pups as i could when i was looking for a pup. the bitch who got the CC at crufts this year was from a pet breeder i believe and she is very beautiful.

who is he from? there are lots of people who advertise there dogs on a 'cute' background, Sarah's girls breeder does it...... nothing wrong with it as long as the dogs are healthy and happy. It's personal choice of course But why anyone does it is not something I can understand, the back yard breeders yes, just wanting to sell and not fussy who to. But why would a good breeder need to put their pup next to a baby toy, dress them up or put beads around their neck I an understand sitting them on a nice blanket or against a background to make it clearer wht pup looks like, but that's about it Each to their own of course I enjoy taking cute pictures of my dogs and puppies and find that people enjoy seeing them. In no way am I even remotely BYB ha ha. People like seeing cute pictures. Not everyone is boring and stoic. People love their pets. I think good, clear quality photographs should be supplied, some with stuff in them certainly doesn't indicate lesser quality of breeder. I have cute pictures of all my show and breeding prospects...but I also have pictures of them stacked, just in the yard playing, etc. I will DEFINITELY take cute pictures of pups I have to sell. After all, there are certain types of boring or judgemental people I feel wouldn't be suited to providing a good home to my pups anyway.

LOL...I'm one big for taking cutesy pics. Maybe because it's the photographer in me. I also have & take cutesy pics of my lot. Not everyone is going to be looking for a show dog & not every dog in every litter will be show quality. I personally, like to know the dog I am getting is from someone not all cut & dry or all business. (poor puppies if they were! ) ANYWAY, cute Chi but yeah...soooo much into getting a show quality pup & so much change from 10 weeks on it's hard telling. You can tell some things from pics--and some things from stacked pics but definitely going & seeing them will be your best bet so I'm excited to hear what you think when you see her. I definitely think pet breeders can be actually a good place to look for a show Chi...pretty much because they aren't looking to "keep the best for themselves"! hahaha And like what was mentioned...chances are they don't know a good thing when they see it. Lulu came from a pet breeder so maybe I'm bias. Granted Lulu hasn't shown just yet (next month *crossing fingers*) but she's not terrible herself & has a lot of good qualities. Her breeder was actually going to keep her for herself but offered her to me wanting to get her name out in the show world a bit. Anyway, good luck & keep us posted!
