Omg, just got back from the vet w/ Ivy and having her sutures removed. I had a 5 min convo w/ this old couple telling them she most definitely was not a mix! But they were just CERTAIN that she was!!!!
They said she should have a longer nose to be a purebred chi. They said I got taken when I bought her. Ha ha!
So I explained no, actually her nose is slightly TOO long, her head should be wider and a bit more domed, to be correct. They said no, and basically described Laurel as what a chi should look like.
Its like, really, people? ugh...anyway...

Its true everyone sees non standard chis! I know ingot super lucky withdaisy as she's quite typey. But I always get old mine are Poms lol although the other day I got told what a nice fluffy smooth coat chihuahua I had lol Leilani was offended

When I took Eva out shopping with me today- a woman said to me- "ooh one of them handbag dogs, it's niceand fluffy though, not like them ones with short fur, they are like rats"
I was like ermm yeah I have two of them.

People.... Someone once told me that Lion's hair was too short (she was comparing him to her 10 lb supposedly "chihuahua" that looked like a pomeranian to me). She said "That's too bad that he has such a short coat, otherwise we could breed our dogs!" .............
