I have a few mainly hosted with Namesco and that's the one I used to recommend when I did freelance web design, it's not the cheapest but the most reliable and easiest to manage I've found. I use moonfruit for my chis site but it's just a temp one until I get round to doing a proper site lol but that's very easy to use, although I still have my domain name and email for that through namesco

I have mine through godaddy.com, they host it as well, so that my site can be ad free. I build my website in a program I have on my computer then upload it to the file manager.
webs.com is a great free provider for those not very familiar with building websites. It has some great templates and an easy-to-use interface, I highly recommend it. They have a free option which puts some small ads on your site and you can pay a bit to get an ad-free one... dot.com addresses are cheapest thru godaddy I think though, but the two can be linked up.
