I'm happy to report that Harry's weight is back up to 1.7kg (3.75lbs) again, and that he's just as active, crazy, bossy and cute as ever! ;D He's regained all the confidence he lost when he was sick, although he did show me up when we were walking along Brighton seafront last week, and he hid behind my ankles when a young Pom came over to say hello! Anyway, the fur on his legs where he was shaved for the drip etc., is taking soooooo long to grow back. There is a smidgen of fur that seems as if it might be growing, but it still looks very bare several weeks later. Is that normal?

They obviously lose condition when ill, so I would think that would effect hair growth too?
Really glad he's on the mend.

So glad he's finally starting to put back weigh again! And yes, I agree...it'll probably take a bit for the fur to grow back since he was lacking nutrition for a bit while sick. He's looking much better though & before you know it he'll be back 100%!

Yes, he is still a bit on the skinny side, but that's the weight he'd got up to before he got sick, and he is still putting it on. At least he has some 'padding' on his ribs and spine now, lol! Very oddly, he absolutely refuses to eat raw food since he got better and is on ZP 100% at the moment. Not sure what that's about, but he's doing well on the ZP so I'll worry about it later I think. 4 months! Gosh, I had no idea when they did it that it would take that long to grow back. But at least it sounds like the slow growth on his legs is normal, and it's just a case of waiting. Just as well he's not a show dog!

Aw it's so good to see him looking well and happy! As others have said, I think it'll take a bit for his fur to grow back, yes. He's looking really good though and I'm so glad he's doing so much better now, Elle.
