Well, long story short, I think i'll be moving next year so I'm close to my university, me and cici will be getting a flat, i don't want to be away at uni all say and leave her in the flat on her own :/ so should i get another chi so theyl be ok together?. the only thing im worried about is that right now i am at college 3 days a week and working 2, so if i got a pup right now is that enough time to train him? I mean my dad would be in the house all day to watch him, but will this be ok? or is this stupid? has anyone juggled work/college whilst training a chi? advice pleaseeee xx

I got all my three whilst I was at uni, but I only had 6 hours a week actually "in" uni so I was home pretty much all day, and only worked a bar job at night when they slept. It worked fine for me but if you will be out all day it might be hard for a pup, especially if you are living on your own and you can't go back to let them out to pee. I had a flatmate and my boyf lived ib the same complex who could let mine out/ feed them, if I was ever tied up. I got lucky finding someone who would put up with living with someone elses puppies. You might acutally find it hard finding a place that will let you rent with 2 dogs, I just kept mine quiet but if your pup cries for you when you are out, and neighbours hear it and complain, you could find yourself fined or kicked out My gut advice is to tell you to hang on because it could make it hard for you to find somewhere to live, and you don't want to sacrifice your ambitions for getting a new dog. I would get settled there at uni next year, then evaluate from there if it will work. If you decide you are going to go for it - RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! Do your homework on the breeder xxx

I am a college student and I have two chihuahuas. I got Penny so Lion would have some company while I was at school. I have school 5 days a week and I work 4, but I also live with my bf so he is usually home when I am not(we have opposite schedules). I did get Penny towards the end of last school year, so I had some time to potty train her and get her used to being alone over the summer break. If you are going to get another, make sure you can find a place that allows 2 dogs. I would suggest getting a second one over the holidays so you have a little time to work on training.

Don't rush into it. As long as your girl has company (your dad) she will be fine. Is she spayed? Obviously, don't get a male Chi until she is Just my thoughts x
