That's so odd!! The only ones of mine that "glow" are the lights! All of them give the ruby glow. The darks never have... So I just assumed luminious ruby eyes are made from light eyes & not dark. haha

Nope the ruby glow can be in any color eye. But in dark eyes its especially desireable, I have NO idea why. I am going to have to do some research now. We were in the group ring when B was just a pup and I was talking to a handler that had a chi w/ black black eyes, she was showing me how they had the ruby glow and said how rare it is but that it's awesome and I go oh, his eyes do that too! And so we got it so the light caught his eyes and same thing, which led to the big convo about it after...ha ha that was the day Bryco got his group 1 win though so most things after that were a blurrrrrr. But none of my other chis have it?

Maybe it's just desirable because its "rare" with the dark eyes? I'd be cucrious to hear the real reason why though.
Mari's eye color is about the same as her fur too, Cheryl. Isn't that cool when they match like that?! LOL

I see the handler from time to time so I'll try to remember to ask...she is pretty knowledgeable about dogs.

Lotus glow ruby, actually I think all the girls do but their eyes and nose are jet black. Daisy has the lightest pigment out of mine
