That sort of looks like the brand Tracy, but I didn't think it was a Merricks food but more a smaller company. I could be mistaken...maybe it was. I am sure the other food was grain free though. Hmmm...I'll ask next time I go into the store. I still like ZP & Trippet canned food but something with a different consistency is good once in a while! My pups are doing so well on ZP & it's just so easy this time of year (so fricken busy it's insane) I'm trying to keep them on it. I need to get a case or two of chicken necks to offset the cost though.
Speaking of canned food has anyone noticed that ZP has come out with a rabbit formula? I wish they'd make a dehydrated rabbit version *crossing fingers*. Think it's a bit more expensive though but it would be good to toss in there once in a while!

That's what I figure Kristi about the grains. I'd just rather keep it out of their regular diet but here & there, if they tolerate it why not. Not like I don't eat things I shouldn't or at least don't need. Speaking of foods & rabbit the owner of the store mentioned this: www.grandmalucys.com/pureformance_rabbit.htmlShe knows I've fed THK before so she thought I may be interested. I think it may be a bit cheaper than THK? I think that's what she was telling me before when I was getting some THK one day. But the ingredients look similar. I'm looking into it...just not sure I want to give it a try or not. I may get a small bag just out of curiousity. Anybody know anything about Grandma Lucy's?

Only thing about THK & I'm assuming GL is the same, is I find they get nasty teeth really quickly & if you're not vigilant about brushing/boney meals...ICK. Also...I HAAAAAAAATE THK poop. Almost as bad as kibble poo! Bleck!!

I think GL is a good company Heather...never fed it though. The thing I hate about THK is the soupy consistency. Wonder if GL is the same? I feel like that is what made icky teeth more prevalant w/ THK.

I occasionally buy that brand and also Weruva. Weruva kobe beef is a 5 star canned but no other info. on it. www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/showproduct.php?product=1855&cat=allBrody is NOT a fan of fish so he doesn't really like the tiki brand. It looks really fresh to me though and you can actually tell what is in it! Are you thinking of one of the Merricks canned Heather? I bought a can of Merricks awhile back for Brody, I think it was called chicken wing something. It had an actual chicken wing in it, on top of the gravy, etc. I poked it with my finger and it disintegrated, but it was a whole wing. They must put it through a pressure cooker so that it turns to mush. Here it is, Wingaling is the name: www.merrickpetcare.com/store/detail.php?c=15&s=20315I bought a bag of the Real Meat treats too. Their rubbery processed consistency had me a little concerned but Brody snarfed them and has had no ill effects. He has an iron tummy though. I didn't like the consistency, either. It reminded me of Pup-peroni.. yuck. ZiwiPeak is cheaper anyways.
