if he is scratching at his eyes a lot, perhaps you could try one of those inflatable collars. They are a softer version of the old fashioned cones that they used to wear after surgery. heres a link for one type but i think they're available in different styles www.comfycollars.co.uk/They simply inflate and fit round the neck like a collar but they cant scratch. It may help? hope he's better soon xxxxx

I would do what you can to keep him away from his eyes...it seems like an allergy...Bryco acted like that, scratching himself raw, when he was on THK. It was the oats. It doesn't seem like TOTW has too many allergens, so it could be environmental. Bryco can't even be on ziwipeak for more than a meal here or there or he starts to tear. So maybe Pez is allergic to SOMETHING? Can you put him on just cooked chicken or raw bone in chicken for a few weeks to see if he starts to settle down? Leah was allergic to something in most of her grooming products We are still straightening out that mess...

Such a shame and don't really know what to suggest except maybe try nothing for a few weeks ...no shampoo, oils etc and a very plain diet. I try and leave mine for as long as possible when there are no shows unless of course they hum!.........Rosie normally finds some fox poo to roll in just after I have shampoo'ed her....very attractive!

Poor Perry. Definitely sounds & looks like an allergy. Are you soaking his kibble in water? That or a moistened dehydrated raw (wish you guys has THK or something similar!)...will help with his dry skin. Marley had terrible terrible terrible dry skin on kibble but I've not seen a flake in almost 2 years since he's been off of a dry kibble. Even ZP which is "dry" he's been ok on but I always drown it with water. haha Can you try putting just him on ZP? That is really the most limited ingredient dog food you can get. Or another limited ingredient food like Natural Balance (think I may have mentioned this to you a while back?) soaked in water. I'd really try to limit the variety of ingredients in a food though--even the TOTW even though grain free he may still be allergic to something in it. Really sucks you're having these problems with him. I hope you can get him sorted out soon!!

This is what I am having to do, Leah was way over-bathed during shows and now it is tormenting me but I am just leaving her be! Her coat was all dried out and one shoulder in quite rough shape w/ very dry skin and some fur loss. So we are just leaving it for the time being and hoping that sorts things out.
