step in harness

I want to get one of these for miss leila as she sometimes gets her other harness (over the head) messed up while walking.
Finn has a step in type that i got at tj maxx several months ago and i think i prefer it over the other style.
I am unsure what size to order for her and hoped someone on here may have a chi leila's size and can direct me to a good fitting size.
Her girth behind her front legs is 12.5 in. and her neck is 8 in. i think.

I always get the step in style. My preference over the over the head style. I think they are cuter. They stay put too on their backs and you can see the design of the harness better than just the straps you get on the over the head styles. I think they seem more secure just because they are like a little vest. Brody is about Leila's size and he wears the XS in the step in puppia. EXCEPT for the thick ones that have the lining of fur. Those he needs a small.

Pip has pretty much the same measurements and he wears a small in the step in Puppia. From my experience, I find with the step in's you need to go up a size compared to the over the head type. In the over the head type he wears an XS.

Thanks ladies. I was thinking probably a small as she is sorta chesty. I just don't want it to be too tight.
She is 5 lbs possibly less, she's looking pretty lean these days.

I have a ipuppyone step in for Lion. I like it more than the over the head because Lion slips out of his. It is a size small, which is the smallest size.

I would say small!! Tracy the xs puppia step ins are tiny... Fit like up to 9 inch chest they are ridiculous!!!

U know I had daisy in one for ages and I also got comments like lOok at the dog in the coat, idk
About you guys but it doesn't look like a coat to me

oops, my bad. I thought his step ins were XS. They are NOT. They are all SMALL. The furry zebra one I have is a MEDIUM and it fits great.
