I'm Betty and my little puppy is Luxie. She came into my life about a week and a half ago at 16 weeks. She is bred by Neil of Coltham in the UK. The sire is Coltham Comic Caption and the dam is Coltham Kitty Kat.

I was thinking of showing her, but after reading the thread about how showing dogs is worse than high school, I'm so discouraged!! I had no idea it was so competitive and that people get really mean, even go as far as drugging a dog so she wouldn't be able to perform?? So I might just keep her as a pet!

Glad you joined!! Don't be put off it's great fun you just need thick skin and don't leave your dog LOL it's rare for stuff like that to happen but unfortunately it does.

Hello & welcome! Luxie is adorable! So glad you decided to join.

I'm new to showing myself...Lulu is the only one I show but yeah I had heard all kinds of icky things about showing. Our first show weekend I ended up meeting several SUPER nice Chi ladies & it surprised me! LOL I did have one negative thing happen but eh, I think if you're prepared it's not so bad. But yeah like Sarah says don't leave your dog alone & you should be set. Honestly though I'm a big ole people pleaser & cry at the drop of a dime so if I can tough it out anyone can. You just have to be prepared I guess. I say go for it!

Hi and welcome!! Your little Luxie is absolutely gorgeous!

I think you should show her. It's a great way to get out and meet other chi people and it's really fun! Yeah, there's some bad apples. But that's true of any sport or hobby. She is beautiful and deserves to get out there and be shown.
