I've seen a similar product here, it is a little pill that you add to their food. I think it had seaweed or something in it. Do you think it makes any difference in their teeth?

It really is only beneficial if you are brushing teeth daily - it requires a capful per 2 cups of water to be 'effective' It definitely helps keep their breath fresher. I also brush their teeth every day and spray their mouths with petzlife before bed All in all we have no bad breath here and very clean teeth and healthy pink gums.

Yep, I've used that exact one before. I like it but I do agree with Kristi in it needs to be paired with brushing. I've also used the foam they sell too--which I think works great. Though I gotta say the first time I used it I had some pretty unhappy Chi's that ran away from me when I was done. LOL It's very minty so it took a bit for them to get use to it. I think I compared it to Petzlife & the ingredients were somewhat similar but not quite if you kwim?

I was terrible with the teeth brushing. I was bitten and about strangled them in the process. I got some of the dental pads and have done better with letting them lick them and wiping their teeth with them. I am hoping once we get better with that, brushing will not seem so foreign.
I will still keep adding this product. None of them have bad breath so hopefully I can get out in front of it. Just going slowly.
Thank you!

I have yet to have a dog not bite or scratch or scream the 1st few times I brushed it's teeth. Just had hubby hold them gently on their back in my lap. They got over it! Chi mouths are just so much worse than any other breed of dog I think because they have the tight little muzzles/lips. At the very least you could probably handle Petzlife spray. The key is to never let your dog win even once haha or you've made your job 10x harder down the road.
LMAO Sarah...well if I have kids...yes they will have clean teeth. Thank god some day it will be their responsibility though and not mINE!.

I do also have the petzlife spray. First time I used it I swear I got more on Hope's face than in her mouth. I also tried spraying some on the toothbrush. I'll get better (I hope) as I do it more.
