Hi everyone,
Rocky used to eat everything I fed him and seemed to love it, but the older he gets the pickier he seems to be. I am not spoiling him about food (i.e. feed him treats instead when he decides not to eat his wet food) and I let him be hungry for a day (when he decides not to eat), but yet he will still sometimes be picky. Occasionally he will eat straight away in the morning, but mostly he will only eat during the evening, but by then he usually throws up due to having an empty stomach. It is really frustrating that he is soo picky and won't eat. Do you have any problems like that with your Chis?? Any tipps how I can animate him to eat?

I think its partly due to my family who I am seeing only 2 a year for some weeks. And during those weeks they of course spoil him loads, which is quite difficult for me to prevent. But then the rest of the year I am feeding him in the normal routine. It sometimes helps when I try to encourage him to eat. " 2 of friends have the same problem with their Chihuahuas.

I think chi's as a breed can be picky eaters. Seems like they are picky or the opposite - willing to eat everything! NO in between. I'd just say to try tough love and wait it out.
