For those of you who feed it... Which one(s) do your chi's like best and how much do you feed? And do you get the frozen or freeze dried?
On their site it says 2 small patties a day for a 4-5lb chi, does that seem about right?

I think their estimations are wayyyyyyyyyyy high. I buy all 3 varieties and rotate... dandy lamb, duck duck goose, and the beef one and Brody likes the lamb the best. I buy only the freeze dried.
He gets 1/2 of one patty with a teaspoon of canned food (ziwi or whatever I have) and about a tablespoon of warm water. I let it sit for a minute then stir and it's a canned consistency. That is a meal for him.

That sounds more like it. I thought 2 small patties seemed a bit much. Thanks Tracy.

I use the frozen patties regularly & take six patties out. Since I have 3 who require more I take a small piece off of the other 3 dogs patties & give it to the ones who eat more. So my 4.5/5lb dogs get just under a whole patty per meal & the 6-8lbs ones just over. As for if it's the right portion or not...I dunno really because I've never fed soley Stella & Chewy's so it's really hard to tell?
I'm not sure they have a favorite either. The ones we've fed so far (lamb, beef/salmon, chicken, duck) they've loved so? I do think the serving size on the chicken frozen patties is a bit more than the rest though if I remember correctly.

We have the dandy lamb freeze dried and the beef frozen patties. I like the frozen better just because they have a more appetizing consistency, but the dogs don't seem to have a preference. There's less prep with the freeze dried though as you don't have to remember to take them out to thaw the day before. I only feed them as an occasional meal b/c I'm trying to use up the rest of our Orijen and get them eating S&C and Ziwipeak so it's hard to say whether I'm under or over feeding it. When I do feed it I divide two patties evenly between the three of them so they all get 2/3 of a patty per meal. I would guess somewhere between half a patty and 2/3 would be a good place to start for your guys.
